Five & A Why: The Adventures of Yonder
People are always asking where Yonder is. Grown-ups squint at maps and check behind the shed. But here is the secret: Yonder isn’t a place you travel to. It’s a place you notice.
In a perfectly ordinary house at the end of the lane, six siblings turn ordinary afternoons into extraordinary adventures. A fallen leaf becomes a boat on the Sea of Whispers. A backyard tunnel leads to the glowing Heart-Strings of the Great Loom. A blanket fort becomes the Castle of Forever. And a homemade slingshot meets a very large, very rude giant.
Along the way, they face Doubtlings, Shadow-Wisps and Hush-Moths, and discover the secret that makes every one of them shrink: say your fear out loud, and you’ll find you were never alone.
Inspired by the author’s own six children, Five & A Why is written for reading aloud together, with a winking narrator, plenty of giggles and a quiet, steady Hum of faith holding it all together.
